Thank you to all School and P&C volunteers who attended our Volunteer Morning Tea this morning. Hugh Goodfellow and our P&C President Glen Duff were both on hand to thank our Volunteers for everything that they do, speaking on what it means to our community and the projects that their time helps us deliver! We hope you all enjoyed morning tea, a nice chat and a thank you card created by our appreciative school students, and well done P&C staff for organising.

The P&C is excited to announce the October Volunteer of the Month – Tonya Morgan! Tonya is a long term volunteer in both the tuckshop and uniform shop. During the last month, she has cancelled plans and also come in for just a few hours either in between or before appointments to help out, sometimes even between dance drop off and her next appointment. Tonya is highly organised and well known for her incredible wraps. She is extremely reliable and often teaches new volunteers how we do things. October was a busy time in the tuckshop and Tonya went above and beyond to assist to help things run smoothly. Basically she’s been awesome and we truly appreciate all of her help. We couldn’t do what we do without people like her and we’re lucky to have her. Tonya was recognized at the P&C meeting last night, 21st November.

In our October meeting, we had the pleasure of announcing our September “Volunteer of the Month”, a volunteer who has gone above and beyond, selflessly giving to the P&C for the benefit of the School community. We manage this scheme with the support of Jonathan Wein and LJ Hooker Albany Creek, to give back a little to those who give a lot to us.

Congratulations Kym Teale. Kym helps out with our Mothers and Father’s Day stalls. She assists with getting the menus distributed, hanging posters, unpacking the stock, setting it up on display and running the stall on the day. Kym has even done last minute shopping for us to restock some items when we ran out of stock unexpectedly! This all generally requires several full days at school and we couldn’t run these stalls without helpers like her. Thank you!
